This is the proposed Briarwood Commons in Sharpsburg and Turin very close to the intersection of Highway 16 and Highway 54 with two exits in Sharpsburg.  The proposal HAS NOT BEEN PRESENTED TO THE TOWN OF SHARPSBURG BUT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO TURIN FOR APPROVAL. Sharpsburg portion proposal below. (Information NOT furnished by Sharpsburg Officials.)

The only two exits to the development will be in Sharpsburg on Highway 54 very close to what is called "the triangle property" at Highway 54 and Terrentine St.

At the Turin Town Council recently, there was overwhelming opposition from the audience to the proposal.  Sharpsburg residents probably don't know about the proposal at this time.  This site is trying to remedy this!  The town officials have known of the plan for quite a long timeas have the Turin residents.

THE PUBLIC HEARING IN TURIN WILL BE HELD NEXT MONTH.  TWO PARCELS HAVE NOT BEEN REZONED AS THEY APPEAR TO BE IN THE MAP.

THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR SEPTIC TANKS.

Sharpsburg section of Briarwood Commons.
Location:  On the top boundry of Briarwood Commons proposal-right front is located at the "triangle property" which is the intersection of Terrentine and Highway 54.  Briarwood Commons DOES NOT OWN the square-ish property at the top of the proposal....they just hope to acquire it or get the go-ahead from the Johnson-Chambliss family. If anyone knows of some change in this information, please notify me.
